A is for Africa has built two preschool classrooms and other components of the physical infrastructure.
A is for Africa has launched Matim's first library with titles in both Swahili and English.
In 2019, AIFA received grant funding to initiate a girls’ menstrual health and hygiene program and in 2021 we were able to expand the program to five schools through the generous donations of friends of A is for Africa.
A is for Africa provides one hot meal to each student at Matim every day. We can provide a traditional porridge lunch for approximately 11 cents per student per day.
A is for Africa established the first computer lab at Matim to support the teachers in their lesson planning, delivery, and grading.
